Lava Bai has a passion for inspired living. She is a professional Sound Healer, Life Coach, Music Circle Facilitator and Drum Circle Facilitator. Lava combines her love of music, people and Spirit to provide resources and services to transform and maintain personal balance, harmony for a passionate, inspired life.

Lava was exposed to music from the womb. Almost every member of her family played an instrument. The piano was the most familiar musical sound she heard in her developing years and everyone in the family played at various levels. At a young age, Lava studied piano and violin. Her parents enjoyed many forms of musical expression, with a particular interest in jazz and classical. Her father was much more than a musician and composer, many of the jazz power-hitters of his generation affectionately referred to him as a "musicologist".

Early on, Lava understood the nuances of jazz and the hypnotic pulse of swing. She has been influenced, by some of the greatest musicians in recorded history. Her favorites are Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Grover Washington Jr., Stevie Wonder, Santana, Earl Klugh, Gato Barbieri, Phil Collins, Maxwell, Earth/Wind & Fire, Sting, Peter Gabriel, Jackson Browne, Sheila E!, Peter-Michael Escovedo, Enigma. Some of her favorite singers include Seal, Robin Thicke, Luis Miguel, Celia Cruz, Bob Marley, Barbara Streisand and Nancy Wilson.

As an adult, Lava re-ignited her passion for music and began studying percussions under the tutelage of Stan Kenton's lead percussionist, Mike Pacheco. She started out with only an interest to play the timbales, but she quickly expanded to congas, bongos, djembe and frame drums. Encouraged to take up kit drums, Lava shyed away. Along the journey and with her international travels, she has learned many traditional percussion instruments. Her favorite is the Djun Djun from Nigeria and of course, the crystal singing bowls.

After years of working in the grind of a high-paced career, Lava returned to her roots: Music, Community, Joy and Laughter. She is intuitive and compassionate - traits required for her chosen path as a Life Coach. Her service to coaching is a natural path to integrate her passions, skills and experiences. In her group coaching sessions, clients are uplifted by her inclusion of music circles, song and dance.

As a Sound Healer, Lava Bai channels the Songs of Spirit. Lava flows with Spirit, to create rhythms, harmonies and textures for hypnotic soul-reaching melodies. With Quartz Crystal Singing Bowls, various percussion instruments and keyboard tones, she rides the sound waves to create vibrations that inspire us to the soul. Lava's soundscapes are a musical voyage to healing, clarity, inspiration, and relaxation. With her debut album, "Anussati: Crystal Journeys To the Temple", she provides a soundtrack for tranquility that is relaxing, inspiring, motivating and thought provoking. The collection is a rejuvenation of sound vibrations that evokes a peaceful retreat.
